◎简　　介　

　　故事发生在1997年，时值教皇到访里约热内卢前夕，由于教皇将有可能住在一个极其危险的贫民窟附近，特别警察军事行动部队的队长Nascimento被任命清除活跃在该地区的毒品贩子。考虑到妻子已经怀孕，Nascimento想要退出军事行动部队，寻找接班人来代替他的职务，自己当一名新兵训练教官就行。

　　另一方面，两个雄心勃勃的年轻人Neto和Matias刚刚加入到队伍中，一心想成为优秀的警察，扫除犯罪势力。然而，他们的希望逐渐破灭，取而代之的是部队里的腐败、无纪律，到处都是官僚主义作风。在一次恶性事件发生之后，两人索性决定加入特别警察军事行动部队。接下来的数月里，队长Nascimento以及Neto和Matias三个人紧紧联系在了一起，先是接受队长安排的艰苦训练课程，然后是参与到缉毒行动的战斗中。队长相信Neto有能力成为接班人，只不过他过于冲动的个性却让人担心。于是乎，头脑冷静的Matias看起来应该是最佳人选，但这还需要接受更多的考验才能确定。
