【故事简介】

1999年的东京，从建筑施工现场到人们的日常生活，处处都可以见到一种被称为“Labor”的大型机器人。面对Labor相关犯罪与日俱增的局面，警察局成立了特殊车辆二课，配备专门机器人PatLabor，负责处理特殊事务。Labor到了更新换代的时期，作为机器人大脑的电脑操作系统升级为 HOS。正在这时，突然发生多起机器人失控事件，机动警察小队负责调查此事。他们发现这是由与HOS有关的电脑病毒所导致的，而肇事者已经销毁了所有资料行踪不明。在东京湾，制造巨型海上方舟以解决东京土地问题的巴比伦计划已经到了关键时刻，那里集结了全国45%的Labor机器人，这些机器人一旦失控后果将不堪设想……

【幕后制作】

　　1988年，机动警察PATLABOR的OVA系列广受好评，于是第二年就由原班人马制作推出了这部电影版。影片以电脑病毒犯罪这个有前瞻性的主题作为中心，探讨了关于个人价值、社会制度的许多问题，具有相当的深度，在现今看来也不乏启迪。本片制作精良，剧情安排、画面效果、配乐等各个方面的水准都相当高，片中最后机器人之间格斗的场面也十分动人心魄。同时，影片在历史悠久的日本巨型机器人动画中，引入了一种前所未有的元素——机械设定偏向于合理化、故事偏向于真实化——是开一代之先河的经典作品。

【故事简介】

　　1999年，日本陆上自卫队的机器人小队在一次联合国维和行动中遭到全歼。数年后，横浜大桥突然被战斗机炸毁，官方报导称肇事飞机属于自卫队。民众广泛对自卫队产生了不信任感。特车二课第二小队的后藤队长察觉此事与在99年的那场事件中失踪的自卫队队员柘植有关。而柘植是特车二课第一小队队长南云原来的恋人。民众的不信任感达到了顶峰，处于戒严状态的东京面临着大骚乱，人们被即将爆发战争的危机笼罩着。在自卫队王牌队员荒川的帮助下，后藤和南云追查到了柘植的下落。后藤招集起泉、篠原等特车二课原来的成员们，启动PATLABOR机器人进攻柘植的根据地……

【幕后制作】

　　时隔4年，押井守导演推出了《机动**PATLABOR》的第二部剧场版。然而，这部作品和前作的风格大不相同。本片的主角不再是泉野明和篠原游马，而成了后藤和南云这两位小队长；精彩的机器人格斗场面和青春恋爱剧情也根本绝迹。尽管如此，本片依然相当好看。一方面制作水准毫不逊色于前作，另一方面，情节也相当扣人心弦，成功地营造出了紧张的气氛。同时，押井导演将**批判作为本片的主题，揭示出日本政府的种种问题，在内容的思想深度和针砭时弊的力度上又比前作更进了一步。本片是日本专业电影大奖评选出的年度十佳电影之一。
